Sussex Harmony in Burgess Hill
A Concert
A year in an 18th century Sussex village
St John’s Church, Church Walk, Burgess Hill RH15 9AA
7.30 - 9.15 p.m.
The quire will follow a year with songs for wassailing, Easter, the harvest and Christmas
interspersed with readings. Much of the music comes from Sussex, including a rollicking version of “While shepherds watched” compiled in the early 19th century by John Wells of Lindfield and a carol collected from Sam Willett, the singing baker of Cuckfield.
